Easy Slow Cooker Cabbage Soup

Ingredients (6 portions)

Basic:

Onion 1 pc
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Water (or a little more to taste) 1.5 l
Potato (medium sized or slightly larger smaller tubers) 3 pc
Carrot 1 pc
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Dry spices to taste
Beans (canned) 200 g
Cabbage 0.25 head
Chicken 300 g

How to cook cabbage soup from fresh cabbage in a slow cooker? Prepare everything on the list. You can take a whole chicken or use any parts of it. For the recipe I used a soup set — chicken backs. You can exclude beans from the recipe, but with them the finished dish turns out to be more satisfying and bright.

Peel carrots, potatoes and onions. Remove outer leaves from cabbage. Rinse all vegetables in clean water. Chop the onions and carrots in any way convenient for you. I cut the onion into small cubes and grated the carrots on a grater with large teeth.

Chop the cabbage into thin strips, cut the potatoes into small cubes or cubes, and drain the liquid from the canned beans.

Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a multicooker bowl. Send the carrots and onions to fry. Using the "Fry" mode, bring to the desired degree of frying (5-10 minutes will be enough).

Add potatoes, chicken cut into small pieces, beans and cabbage for frying.

Salt and pepper everything, add your favorite spices to taste. Pour in hot water. How much water should I use? If you want to get a thick first course, then add water so that it covers the contents of the bowl 1-2 cm above. If you want cabbage soup that is not very thick, then add more water.

Mix everything. Close the multicooker lid, set the “Stew” mode and leave until fully cooked.
