Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make stewed chicken breast with cabbage in a frying pan? Prepare your food. Cooking time will vary depending on the age of the cabbage chosen: the younger the cabbage, the less time is needed. I have a fresh harvest of cabbage. Carrots and onions are small. Boneless chicken breast fillet, medium sized half breast. But you can take less chicken, and a little more. You can also take your favorite spices (I used bay leaf and ground black).

Step 2

Step 2
Rinse all vegetables with running cold water and dry. Trim the wilted leaves from the cabbage and cut into strips. The thinner the cabbage is sliced, the faster it will cook. Peel the skins of the onions and carrots. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, cut the onion into small cubes.

Step 3

Step 3
Rinse fresh chicken breast under cold running water and pat dry with a paper towel. Heat a deep frying pan with vegetable oil and fry the meat over high heat until golden brown. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 5 — 7 minutes. You can add a little hot water (100 ml) if the chicken has not given its juice.

Step 4

Step 4
Add shredded cabbage to the frying pan with the chicken fillet, stir, cover partially with a lid and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Don’t forget to mix the cabbage with the chicken.

Step 5

Step 5
Add chopped onions and carrots to the cabbage and stir. Close the pan with a lid and continue to simmer the vegetables and chicken over low heat for another 20 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
Dilute tomato paste with 100 ml of warm water. Pour tomato paste into the cabbage, add salt, ground black pepper, and bay leaf. Stir the cabbage and simmer until done. Determine readiness according to your taste. My cabbage took me another 10 minutes. If your tomato paste is very sour, you can add a teaspoon of sugar to balance the taste.

Step 7

Step 7
Serve the prepared stewed cabbage with chicken hot as an independent dish for dinner. You can offer potato dishes with this cabbage. When cooled, this cabbage will also be very tasty.
