How to cook wheat porridge in a slow cooker using water? Very simple! To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. In Russia, you can find two types of wheat cereal on sale: the larger “Poltavskaya” for side dishes and soups and “Artek” for preparing porridges. We need Artek cereal.

Sort the wheat grains and rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. You can cook porridge not only in water, but also in milk.

Place the washed wheat cereal into the multicooker bowl. Add salt. You can add herbs to taste, for example, Provençal or Italian. If you want a sweet version of porridge, add 1-2 tbsp. l. Sahara.

Fill the bowl with cold drinking water. You can adjust the consistency of the porridge by using the amount of water. If you want crumbly porridge, follow the recipe proportions. If it is thinner, you can take water at a ratio of 1:3 or 1:4.

Close the lid. Turn on the slow cooker. Set the “Porridge” or “Grain” mode and time – 40 minutes. Depending on the brand and model of your multicooker, the mode may be called differently. If foam bursts out during cooking, open the lid and wait until the foam settles. You can also reduce the cooking temperature a little.

When the cooking time signal sounds, check to see if any excess liquid has evaporated. Then add butter to the porridge. Stir.
