Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to fry potato cutlets in a frying pan? Very simple! Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Wash the potatoes in running water with a brush, peel them and rinse again to remove dirt.

Step 2

Step 2
Cut each potato into 2-3 parts and place in the pan in which you will cook. Fill the potatoes with water until they are completely submerged. Place the pan with potatoes on the fire. Bring to a boil and add a little salt. Cook the potatoes in boiling water over medium heat until tender. This will take about 20 minutes, depending on the type of potato. Then drain the hot water from the potatoes.

Step 3

Step 3
Add butter to hot potatoes and mash with a potato masher. The butter will immediately begin to melt. Then add eggs and flour. You may need to add a little more flour. Still remember to use the masher to mix all the ingredients well together. Wash the eggs with baking soda first, as they may contain harmful bacteria. Cool the finished potato mixture a little so that it is not too hot to form the cutlets with your hands. You will get a thick, sticky mass.

Step 4

Step 4
Place breadcrumbs in a separate bowl. Take a little potato mixture with a wet spoon, spread it in breadcrumbs and roll on all sides. Use your hands to form small patties.

Step 5

Step 5
Heat a frying pan until hot and pour in a little vegetable oil. Place the prepared cutlets in a preheated frying pan. Fry them over medium heat, 1-2 minutes on each side.

Step 6

Step 6
The finished cutlets will become an appetizing, rosy color. Remove the finished cutlets from the pan and place on a paper towel to remove any remaining oil. Our mashed potato cutlets are ready.

Step 7

Step 7
Serve the breaded potato cutlets hot. They are very tasty as an independent dish, or as an addition to meat or fish. If you use these cutlets as a main dish, I recommend preparing sour cream and garlic sauce for them. It turns out very tasty. Bon appetit!
