Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Fry a glass of pearl barley without oil over moderate heat until it turns golden brown. Pearl barley is obtained from barley grains, which are cleaned and then ground. The fact is that the outer shells of barley are very hard and difficult to digest, so it is rarely consumed whole, but only peeled.

Step 2

Step 2
Fried pearl barley already emits a pleasant aroma and is just the color we need. Pour into a bowl and let it cool.

Step 3

Step 3
Now that the pearl barley has cooled, we need to grind it into powder

Step 4

Step 4
The finished powder can be stored in a glass container for a couple of months. Now preparing pearl barley drink is quite simple — pour a teaspoon of powder with a glass of hot water and stir. I also like to add a cinnamon stick. And, if you want to make the drink sweet, use honey, maple syrup or stevia.
