Ingredients (8 portions)

Basic:

Wheat flour 220 g
Butter 180 g
Powdered sugar 30 g
Milk chocolate 100 g
Candies (M&Mʼs candies) 100 g

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Prepare all ingredients.

Step 2

Step 2
Sift the wheat flour and powdered sugar and stir.

Step 3

Step 3
Break the chocolate into pieces. Melt butter and chocolate in a water bath. Stir constantly.

Step 4

Step 4
Pour all the hot chocolate into the flour at once.

Step 5

Step 5
Knead with a silicone spatula until smooth.

Step 6

Step 6
Form the dough into a sausage and wrap in parchment paper or cling film. You can give the sausage a round, triangular, or rectangular shape, depending on what kind of cookies you want. Place in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes so that the dough just hardens slightly, but does not become hard.

Step 7

Step 7
Turn on the oven and preheat to 170 degrees. Sprinkle a few drops of water on a baking sheet and spread parchment paper. Unwrap the dough and cut into 1 cm wide cookies with a sharp knife. Place the cookies on parchment paper at a distance from each other and place in the oven for a couple of minutes. This way the cookies will soften a little and wonʼt crack when you insert the M&Mʼs.

Step 8

Step 8
Place M&Mʼs on cookies and press down slightly. Bake in a preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes. Always refer to your oven. Let cool. The traffic light cookies are ready. Bon appetit!
