Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make oatmeal cookies from banana and oatmeal? Prepare your food. Any oatmeal is suitable — both quick-cooking and those that take a long time to cook. Depending on the quality of the flakes, the cookies will turn out either soft or coarser in structure. I took the flakes, which were boiled for 5 minutes. Choose ripe bananas, even overripe ones — the cookies will be more fragrant. Wash the raisins and pour boiling water over them.

Step 2

Step 2
Break the banana into a bowl. Mash it with a fork until pureed. If there are small pieces left, it’s okay, it will be even tastier. At this stage you can add sugar or honey. Add them to taste, depending on the sweetness of the banana. I put in cane sugar. Pour in odorless vegetable oil. Stir.

Step 3

Step 3
In a separate bowl, add oatmeal, salt and any other additives — seeds, nuts, spices. I took sesame and sunflower seeds. Flax seeds, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla are also suitable. Mix the cereal with the additives.

Step 4

Step 4
Pour the cereal mixture into the banana mixture in portions and stir until smooth. First it will be convenient to stir with a fork, then with your hands. If the mass is too dry, you can add a little more banana or pour in a couple of tablespoons of water.

Step 5

Step 5
Lastly add dried fruits and baking powder and mix. Place the raisins, steamed by this time, on a sieve. In addition to raisins, you can add dried cranberries, cherries, prunes, dried apricots, and candied fruits. Cut large dried fruits into smaller pieces.

Step 6

Step 6
Line a baking tray with baking paper. Using hands moistened with cold water, form the oat mixture into balls the size of a walnut. Place them at a distance from each other. I got 12 pieces.

Step 7

Step 7
Using a spoon or the bottom of a glass, press the balls on top to form a flat cake. Here I will advise you to make the cookies thinner, then they will bake faster and better.

Step 8

Step 8
Bake cookies in an oven preheated to 170°C for 20 to 30 minutes. The exact time will depend on your oven and the thickness of the cookies. The finished cookies will be golden. Remove them from the oven and cool completely.

Step 9

Step 9
Serve the cookies to the table. Bon appetit!
