Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to fry cauliflower in crispy batter in a frying pan? Prepare all ingredients. Instead of fresh garlic, I used garlic powder. Milk can be replaced with cream. How to choose a frying pan and oil for frying, read the articles below the steps.

Step 2

Step 2
Separate the cauliflower into small, medium-sized florets. The larger the pieces, the longer they will need to be boiled in boiling water.

Step 3

Step 3
In a separate container, mix milk, egg, red and black pepper. Also add mustard, chopped garlic or garlic powder and a pinch of salt. Mix everything thoroughly using a fork or whisk. At this stage, you can add your favorite spices to taste.

Step 4

Step 4
Gradually add flour to the egg-milk mixture, stirring each time so that no lumps form. The batter should not be very liquid.

Step 5

Step 5
Boil about 1-1.5 liters of lightly salted water in a saucepan. Place the cauliflower florets into boiling water. After boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for about five minutes. You can check the readiness of the inflorescences using a toothpick or fork. The cabbage should pierce easily. The main thing is not to overcook, otherwise it may turn out to be porridge.

Step 6

Step 6
Place the finished cabbage in a colander and cool slightly.

Step 7

Step 7
Dip each inflorescence on all sides in batter.

Step 8

Step 8
Then roll in flour on all sides.

Step 9

Step 9
Heat sunflower oil in a frying pan. It is better to take a small frying pan, but with high edges, this will require less oil and will make it more convenient to cook the cabbage. How to choose a frying pan and oil for frying, read the articles below the steps. Fry the cauliflower in hot oil over high heat for a few seconds on each side. Place the cooked cabbage with a crispy crust on paper towels to remove excess oil. Bon appetit!
