Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to fry an omelet with green onions in a frying pan? Prepare all the necessary products. Take large eggs, preferably homemade ones, or at least CO eggs. Choose regular milk, with a fat content of 2.5-3.2%. The butter needs to be natural, and only cream should be included in the composition. Oil fat content is at least 82%.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the eggs well, preferably even using a special brush, but be careful not to damage the shell. Beat the eggs into a fairly deep bowl. We will add other ingredients to the eggs and mix vigorously, so the dishes should have high sides.

Step 3

Step 3
Salt the eggs. At this point, you can add some of your favorite herbs or seasonings to the omelette mixture. Dry spices can be ground pepper, Provençal herbs or dried garlic. Chopped fresh herbs would also be quite appropriate: dill, cilantro, basil and green onions.

Step 4

Step 4
Beat everything with a fork or whisk.

Step 5

Step 5
Gently pour in the milk. It is believed that for 1 egg the amount of milk that fits in half the shell of this egg is taken. Stick to approximately these proportions.

Step 6

Step 6
Prepare the pan where you will cook the omelette. It would be great if it had a non-stick coating or cast iron like mine. Read about how to choose the perfect frying pan in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Place butter in a frying pan and melt it over low heat.

Step 7

Step 7
Pour the melted butter into the egg mixture, stirring constantly with a fork to ensure the eggs do not curdle.

Step 8

Step 8
Pour the egg mixture into the same pan. Place over low heat and cook until the omelette reaches the desired consistency. Chopped green onions can be added to the omelet at this stage (or mixed directly into the egg mixture). I like the onions not too cooked, so I add them later.

Step 9

Step 9
If you see that the omelette is not cooked well in the middle, cover the pan with a lid and bring until fully cooked.

Step 10

Step 10
I garnished the omelette with green onions. That is, I just sprinkled it on top. You can take any other fresh herbs or small pieces of tomato, olives, and so on.

Step 11

Step 11
Serve the omelet immediately hot. This is a great dish for a family breakfast. Bon appetit!
