Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make croutons without eggs? Prepare the ingredients needed for cooking. You will need a loaf (preferably yesterdayʼs, as it is denser). If your loaf is not sliced, then cut it into portions with a knife. The number of products given is conditional. You may need a little more loaf slices. It all depends on the degree of dryness of the loaf and the size of the pieces.

Step 2

Step 2
Pour the milk into a large enough bowl, in which it will then be convenient to dip the loaf slices. Add granulated sugar and vanilla sugar to the milk, stir with a tablespoon until the sugar crystals are completely dissolved. Take natural, fresh milk, with any percentage of fat content. You can replace vanilla sugar with vanillin. Use the tip of a knife, as more can add bitterness to the finished dish. Or you can do without it altogether.

Step 3

Step 3
Gently moisten the loaf slices on both sides in sweet milk and place on a plate to drain off excess milk.

Step 4

Step 4
Take a frying pan and heat it on the stove. Dissolve some of the butter in a preheated frying pan, then add more as needed. Place loaf slices soaked in milk into hot oil.

Step 5

Step 5
Fry the loaf slices over medium heat until lightly browned on both sides. Approximately 1-3 minutes on each side.

Step 6

Step 6
Transfer the finished hot croutons without eggs to a clean plate, decorate as you like and serve immediately while the croutons are fresh and hot! Freshly prepared croutons are much tastier and more appetizing! Bon appetit!
