Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a salad with stracciatella cheese and tomatoes? Very simple and fast. To begin, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. I used extra virgin olive oil, but you can use any vegetable oil you like. You can replace the stracciatella with buratta, which is similar in taste. Or replace it with other cheeses of your choice: mozzarella, feta cheese, feta, etc. Read about different types of cheeses in the article at the end of this recipe under the steps.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the tomatoes, dry and cut into slices. You can use regular or cherry tomatoes. If you have cherry tomatoes, cut them in half. For this recipe, it is better to take small but strong tomatoes so that they retain their shape at all stages of cooking.

Step 3

Step 3
Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Peel each half and cut into slices. I cut it into semicircles — this makes the avocado look more beautiful. It is important to peel the avocados in this order. After all, avocado contains essential oils and after removing the peel the fruit becomes slippery. You may cut yourself when cutting it in half. Pour lemon juice over the avocado and stir.

Step 4

Step 4
Peel the red onion and cut into rings or half rings, as you prefer. You can replace red onions with other types according to your taste: white, shallots, regular onions, etc.

Step 5

Step 5
Remove the olives from the brine, dry and cut into rings. You can replace or supplement olives with olives. How to choose the right olives, read at the end of the recipe under the steps.

Step 6

Step 6
Break the walnuts into small pieces. If desired, you can replace the nuts with cashews, hazelnuts or pine nuts. Or, instead of nuts, add peeled sunflower seeds, fried in a dry frying pan.

Step 7

Step 7
In a bowl, combine tomatoes, avocado, lettuce, onion and olives. Pour olive oil over everything and stir. You can take a ready-made store-bought mixture of lettuce leaves or make your own from the greens that you have.

Step 8

Step 8
Place the salad on a plate. Spread the stracciatella on top. Drizzle balsamic dressing over salad and sprinkle with walnuts. Salad with stracciatella and tomatoes is ready. Bon appetit!
