Preparing the ingredients. Boil potatoes and carrots in their skins, cool, and peel. Boil the eggs hard, cool, separate the yolks from the whites, and grate them separately. Drain the liquid from the canned food and mash it into a puree with a fork. Finely chop the onion, pour boiling water over it, leave for 3 minutes to remove excess bitterness, drain the water.

Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater. We put it in the shape of Santa Clausʼs hat.
