Classic Chicken and Pickle Salad

Ingredients (6 portions)

Basic:

Ground black pepper to taste
Salt to taste
Bay leaf 1 pc
Carrot (large) 1 pc
Bulb onions (large) 1 pc
Vegetable oil 20 ml
Pickles (medium size) 3 pc
Peppercorns 3 pc
Mayonnaise 3 tbsp
Dill 30 g
Chicken fillet 300 g

How to make Obzhorka salad with chicken and pickles? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. I used breast fillet, but you can use another part of the chicken. Take large carrots and onions. Use unscented vegetable oil. It is better to take medium-sized cucumbers; they are not too watery.

Boil the chicken fillet. How to boil chicken fillet? Rinse it under running water, place it in a saucepan with slightly salted cold water, add bay leaf and pepper. Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes after boiling. Then drain the water and cool the chicken fillet completely.

Peel the onion, rinse and cut into small cubes. Heat a frying pan, carefully so as not to burn yourself, pour vegetable oil onto it and add chopped onion. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, about 2 minutes.

Peel the carrots, rinse and grate on a coarse grater. When the onions have softened and started to turn golden, add the carrots. Be sure to stir so that the vegetables cook evenly, become soft and do not dry out.

Fry for about 5 minutes. Cool fried vegetables completely.

Cut the pickled cucumbers into small cubes.

Cut the cooled chicken fillet into small cubes, like the cucumbers.

Remove hard stems and limp leaves from dill, wash, dry and chop finely. In a convenient container, combine all the prepared ingredients: chicken meat, fried vegetables, pickled cucumbers and dill.
