Wash the chicken eggs in water and soda and place in a deep saucepan. Fill with water and cook for 12 minutes from the moment the water boils. You can boil it a little longer, but not less time! Then drain the hot water and immediately pour cold, almost ice-cold water into the container. If you have a container with a non-stick bottom, then transfer the boiled chicken eggs into a bowl, as a sudden temperature change can damage the surface.

When the eggs have cooled, peel them, rinse, dry and cut into medium or small cubes. Many people prefer to grind boiled eggs on a coarse grater — this is optional.

Wash the green onion stems in running water, dry with paper towels and chop. Pour the onion into the container with the chopped chicken eggs. If desired, you can replace the green onions with leeks, onions, or red onions. But this will be a different salad, because it is the green onions that give the dish a juicy, spicy note.
