Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make Funchoza salad with vegetables in Korean? First, prepare and measure all the necessary products. Wash the carrots under running water with a brush and dry. Also wash the cucumber and bell pepper under running water and dry.

Step 2

Step 2
Now letʼs get to the noodles. First, boil water and immediately pour the boiling water over the noodles in a large bowl so that they are all submerged in water. Leave the noodles like this for 7-10 minutes, the exact time is indicated on the package. Itʼs better to leave it a little undercooked than overcooked, so take it out a little before the stated time.

Step 3

Step 3
How to make funchose sauce with soy sauce? Mix all ingredients in a bowl. You can play with the taste: add or remove spices, reduce or increase the amount of soy sauce, vinegar and oil. Garlic powder can be replaced with fresh, minced garlic. It is always better to add coriander; it adds a unique Korean taste to the dish. Or you can buy a ready-made spice mixture for Korean carrots; all the necessary ingredients will already be there.

Step 4

Step 4
Vegetables for funchose will look more beautiful if they are cut on a special grater for Korean carrots. Grate the carrots on this grater and place in a deep salad bowl.

Step 5

Step 5
Then grate the cucumber using a Korean carrot grater. Place it in a salad bowl.

Step 6

Step 6
Peel the pepper from the stalk and seeds, cut into small strips; a grater is not suitable for it. Add the peppers to the rest of the vegetables.

Step 7

Step 7
Letʼs get back to the noodles. Place it in a colander or sieve and rinse with cold water. Leave the noodles to stand for a while until all the water is completely drained.

Step 8

Step 8
Transfer the cooked noodles to a bowl. Since the noodle strings are very long, it is recommended to cut them a little with scissors.

Step 9

Step 9
Add the chopped funchose to the salad bowl with the vegetables and mix all the ingredients well.

Step 10

Step 10
Pour the sauce over the salad. Mix well again.

Step 11

Step 11
Now the salad should sit for an hour so that all the ingredients are saturated with the sauce. After the time has passed, Korean-style funchoza is ready at home, serve it on the table. Bon appetit!
