Water 1 cup
Potato 600 g
Sour cream 100 g
Carrot 1 pc
Vegetable oil 20 g
Dry spices to taste

How to stew potatoes in sour cream? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Peel the potatoes in advance and rinse them in running water to remove dirt. You can use sour cream of any fat content. I have 15% sour cream.

For cooking, you can take a saucepan or frying pan. Place butter on the bottom of the pan and add a little vegetable oil. Wait for the piece of butter to melt.

Peel the onion, rinse and finely chop. Place the finely chopped onion in the pan and fry it for a minute. During this time it will become more transparent and softer.

Peel the carrots and cut them into slices. Place the carrots in the pan with the onions and fry for another minute.

Mix sour cream with water and pour the resulting sauce over the potatoes. If you like there to be more sauce, you can add more water. Bring everything to a boil. Add salt and a little spice to taste. I use dried basil as a spice.
