Melt-in-Your-Mouth Oven Pulled Beef

So soft that it disintegrates into fibers on its own! Pulled beef is simmered in the oven at low temperature for about 7 hours and turns out incredibly soft and aromatic. The meat can be served with any side dish or used to make sandwiches, burgers or tacos.

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make pulled beef in the oven? Prepare your food. Take the meat chilled if possible, it will turn out softer. Any cut of beef without bone will do. Take the set and quantity of spices to your liking. I use pepper, smoked paprika and basil. Take refined oil. Immediately turn on the oven to preheat at 150°C. The temperature is approximate, be guided by the operating characteristics of your oven.

Step 2

Step 2
For baking, take deep fireproof dishes — a saucepan, a cauldron, a mold with high sides. It is better if the dishes have a lid. But if it’s not there, it’s okay; foil will do instead of a lid. Do not use a baking sheet under any circumstances; the liquid in it will quickly evaporate, the meat will not be stewed and will turn out dry. Wash and dry the beef. There is no need to cut off the veins and fat — they will practically dissolve during long stewing. Place the pieces into the mold.

Step 3

Step 3
Salt them and season them with spices on both sides. Pour in vegetable oil. Using your hands, rub it and the spices over the meat. Peel the onion and cut into large slices. Place the onion in the dish with the meat.

Step 4

Step 4
Tear off a large piece of foil and fold it in half. Cover the pan tightly with foil and tuck the edges in to create an impromptu lid. If you have a saucepan with a lid, then simply cover the dishes with it.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the dish with the meat in the oven. Simmer it at 150°C for about 7 hours. The exact time and temperature are approximate, be guided by the features of your oven. Be sure to check the meat several times during cooking for doneness. Then remove the meat from the oven. Remove the foil (lid) from the dish. Using two forks, shred the beef. This will not be difficult to do — the meat will be very soft.

Step 6

Step 6
Serve the pulled beef with a side dish. Or make a burger with it like I did. Bon appetit!
