Vegetable oil (or butter for frying rabbit and onions) 50 ml

Beer (I think light is better) 300 ml

How to make a rabbit stewed in beer in the oven? Prepare everything you need. Choose any beer, I like to make it with light beer, but be guided by your taste. You can use fresh or dried basil, and replace it with oregano if desired. Use spices to suit your taste. If your rabbit is frozen, you must first defrost it. Cut the rabbit into portions, wash thoroughly in running water and dry.

Heat vegetable (or butter) oil in a frying pan and fry the rabbit pieces over high heat until golden brown. Do not try to fit all the meat into the frying pan at once, fry in several stages so that the meat does not start to stew. Place the fried meat on a plate.

Heat the oil in a frying pan, fry the onion for a few minutes, add the garlic and fry for another 2-3 minutes.

Then there are two options: you can simmer the dish over a fire in a frying pan or in the oven, I chose the oven. Place the rabbit in a deep baking dish.

Place onion and garlic on top, add salt, spices, basil, pour in beer and add water to the level of the meat so that it is almost completely covered.
