Fluffy Viennese Waffles with Apricot Jam

Breakfast that will make you get out of bed! The recipe is interesting because it is different from what we are so used to. It is believed that waffles are a type of thin, dry cookie baked from whipped batter in special molds. But these are special waffles. Viennese. They are soft and fluffy.

Chicken eggs 4 pc
Wheat flour 220 g
Sugar 100 g
Milk 200 ml
Sour cream 1 tbsp
Apricot jam 1 tsp

For filling:

Sour cream 3 tbsp
Apricot jam 3 tsp

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Take a deep container into which we beat chicken eggs. Next, pour the milk into the same container and add the flour sifted through a sieve. Beat all ingredients until smooth.

Step 2

Step 2
Then add 1 tablespoon of fat sour cream to this mixture and add 1 teaspoon of jam. Mix all ingredients again. The dough should turn out approximately like sour cream. If it is too runny, add a little flour and mix again.

Step 3

Step 3
Preheat a waffle iron or multi-baker with special attachments inserted for preparing Viennese waffles. In this case, be sure to grease the panels with a small piece of butter so that the waffles do not stick and can be easily removed from the mold.

Step 4

Step 4
When the panels are warmed up, pour 1/3 of the mold with dough, close the lid of the waffle iron (multi-baker) and bake the waffles for 5-7 minutes so that they have a beautiful golden color. Remove the finished waffles from the mold and use a knife to trim them if necessary.

Step 5

Step 5
Take 1 waffle and put the filling on it, namely 1 tablespoon of sour cream and 1 teaspoon of jam. Then place 2 waffles on top of the filling. We do this procedure with the remaining waffles.
