Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make puff pastries with jam in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Puff pastry can be used either with or without yeast. Focus on your taste. I have yeast-free dough. It is usually sold frozen, so remove it from the freezer ahead of time and leave it at room temperature to defrost. Use jam for pies that is thick enough so that it does not spread when baking.

Step 2

Step 2
Sprinkle the table with a little flour. Roll out the defrosted puff pastry a little using a rolling pin and cut into 4 rectangles. Make 3-4 cuts on half of each rectangle. This is necessary so that hot air escapes from the puffs during baking. Otherwise they may burst and the jam will leak out.

Step 3

Step 3
Place a little thick jam on the uncut part of the dough. If your favorite jam is liquid, then you can mix it with starch, boil until thick and cool. Then use for filling. If the jam is a little liquid, you can sprinkle the dough and the jam itself with a little starch. It will absorb some of the moisture during baking. I use thick raspberry jam. It does great in the oven.

Step 4

Step 4
Cover the half with jam with the cut half. Press the edges with your hands, and then make a beautiful frame with a fork.

Step 5

Step 5
Cover a baking tray with baking parchment and place the prepared puff pastries on it. For a golden brown crust, the surface of the puff pastries can be brushed with egg yolk or milk. Or you can keep it under the grill for a while at the end of baking.

Step 6

Step 6
Bake puff pastries in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes. The exact time depends on how your oven operates. They should increase slightly in size and become golden in color. Remove them from the oven, cool slightly, and enjoy! Enjoy your tea!
