Ingredients (8 portions)

Basic:

Olive oil 50 ml
Salt 15 g
Sugar 50 g
Wheat flour 500 g
Water 0.5 l
Dry spices (dried herbs, preferably Italian — oregano, thyme, basil) to taste
Yeast (pressed, grandmaʼs) 20 g

Prepare your ingredients.

Sift the flour.

Add salt, sugar and dry herbs to the flour. Stir.

Dissolve yeast in warm water.

Add water to flour and knead the dough. It turns out quite liquid. Knead the butter into the dough.

Transfer the dough to a convenient bowl, cover with film and leave for 2 hours.

The dough will double in size. If itʼs cold here, let it sit longer.

Generously flour a baking sheet or parchment paper and turn out the dough. Sprinkle on top and smooth. Let it come up under a towel.

Divide the cake into portions using a spatula. Make a well in the center of each ciabatta to allow the dough to bake better.
