Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make vermicelli casserole with egg and milk in the oven? Prepare your food. Take thin vermicelli, it is also called “spider web”. Choose high-quality vermicelli from durum wheat — it tastes better and does not turn into porridge when cooked.

Step 2

Step 2
First of all, boil the vermicelli. To do this, boil half a liter of water in a saucepan and salt it. Pour cobwebs into boiling water and stir. Cook it over low heat, stirring, for about 5 minutes, no more, so that the vermicelli does not boil too much. Then drain the water by draining the pasta in a colander. Leave the vermicelli to cool slightly.

Step 3

Step 3
Beat the eggs into a bowl, pour milk into them, add salt to taste. Whisk everything together until smooth. Wash the eggs first, as they may contain harmful bacteria.

Step 4

Step 4
Take a baking dish of suitable size and grease it with a piece of butter. Place the boiled pasta in the pan. For me, this amount fit into two molds, one measuring 23*14*6 cm, the other slightly smaller.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour the mixture of eggs and milk over the vermicelli and smooth the top.

Step 6

Step 6
Place the casserole dish in the oven, preheated to 180°C. Cook it for about 25-35 minutes. The times are approximate and will depend on the features of your oven and the size of the pan. Focus on the appearance of the casserole — it should turn golden. Remove the casserole dish from the oven and cool slightly.

Step 7

Step 7
Cut the noodle casserole with egg and milk into pieces like in kindergarten and serve. I really enjoyed eating it with sour cream and sprinkled with sugar. Bon appetit!
