Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a delicious strawberry pie in the oven? Very simple. To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Start cooking with the dough. Take the highest grade flour. Sour cream with a fat content of 15% or more. The butter should be at room temperature, so remove it from the refrigerator in advance.

Step 2

Step 2
Combine soft butter with sugar and beat with a mixer until fluffy.

Step 3

Step 3
Add sour cream and beat again.

Step 4

Step 4
Add the flour sifted with baking powder and knead into a soft, pliable, elastic dough. Depending on the moisture content of the sour cream and the quality of the flour itself, you may need more or less flour.

Step 5

Step 5
Then you can roll the dough into a ball, wrap it in film and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. I, while the dough is pliable, distribute it over the bottom and sides of a springform baking dish (Ø 18-22 cm, mine is 20 cm). The smaller the diameter of the mold, the higher the dough sides should be. After this, put the form with the dough in the refrigerator.

Step 6

Step 6
Now prepare the sour cream filling. It is better to take thicker sour cream, from 20% and higher. Eggs can be any size, mine are large. You can adjust the sugar to suit your taste. Instead of vanilla sugar, you can add a pinch of vanillin or a few drops of vanilla flavoring.

Step 7

Step 7
In a bowl, combine sour cream, eggs, flour, sugar and vanilla sugar.

Step 8

Step 8
Mix everything thoroughly with a whisk until smooth. The mixture should be semi-thick, but fluid. If you want the berries to stay on the surface of the pie, like mine, the filling should be thicker. This is possible if the sour cream is fatty. You can reduce the sugar to suit your taste. First add half the sugar, then taste the filling and add more if necessary.

Step 9

Step 9
Now prepare the filling. You can use fresh or frozen strawberries depending on the season. Remove the stems from fresh strawberries, rinse and dry the berries. Thaw the frozen berries slightly and drain the juice.

Step 10

Step 10
Pour the sour cream mixture onto the chilled dough. If you wish, you can place a few berries on the bottom of the pie before pouring the sour cream mixture.

Step 11

Step 11
Place prepared strawberries on top. If you wish, you can form the pie differently: cut the strawberries into slices, place them on the dough and pour the sour cream mixture on top.

Step 12

Step 12
Bake the pie for about 40-50 minutes at 180°C until the sour cream filling has set.

Step 13

Step 13
Remove the finished pie from the oven and cool completely without removing it from the pan. The sour cream filling should thicken. Where there are a lot of berries, the sour cream may remain moist and not so dense. This is especially true for the center. This is acceptable, because the juice from the berries does not allow the sour cream to set properly. Cut the cooled pie into pieces and serve. Bon appetit!
