How to make chicken fillet in pots in the oven? Prepare the necessary products. For an appetizing cap, we will add cheese on top, but this is optional.

Rinse the onions and carrots under running water, peel and chop: chop the onion, grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Rinse the chicken fillet and dry. Cut into small cubes. In a frying pan in oil, fry the chicken fillet for 5-7 minutes, then add chopped onions and carrots and fry together until the vegetables are soft. Salt it a little.

It is better to use young potatoes for this dish, but if you don’t have them, you can take them from stock. Wash and peel the potatoes. Dry the tubers and cut into small squares. The total cooking time for fillets in pots will depend on the size of the potatoes; the larger they are cut, the longer it will take to keep the pots in the oven.

Place the fried chicken fillet with vegetables in the selected baking pots (I have clay ones with a volume of about 0.5 liters).

Place chopped new potatoes on top of the chicken.

Add pepper and a little salt on top. Add water to the pots, filling them a little more than halfway.

Place pieces of butter on top of the potatoes.

Sprinkle grated cheese on top of the butter — optional. Cover the pots with lids and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for about 40 minutes. If cheese is added, then after the specified time, remove the lids from the pots and leave them in the oven until the cheese crust appears golden brown. Times are approximate, check your oven.
