Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake potatoes with bacon in foil? Very simple! To begin, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. It is better to take potatoes of the same medium size, so they look more impressive. I got 6 pieces. You can add your own spices to taste.

Step 2

Step 2
Cut the bacon strips into slices. You can use raw, uncooked or cooked smoked bacon. I have raw smoked bacon.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the potatoes and dry with paper towels. Place each tuber in a tablespoon or between two sushi chopsticks and make frequent deep cuts with a knife, not reaching the end of the tuber.

Step 4

Step 4
Sprinkle the potatoes with dry garlic, salt and pepper, trying to get the spices into the cuts.

Step 5

Step 5
Insert a slice of bacon into each cut in the potato.

Step 6

Step 6
Place each potato in a piece of foil. Place pieces of butter on top of each tuber. Wrap the potatoes in foil, bringing the ends up so that the juice does not leak out when baking.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the foil-wrapped potatoes on a baking sheet. I don’t recommend putting it on a wire rack so that the juice doesn’t drip into the oven and you won’t have to clean it out later. Place the potatoes in an oven preheated to 200°C for 35-45 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven and the type of potato. If you use raw bacon, it will have time to cook during this time.

Step 8

Step 8
Then open the foil. Brush the potatoes with the juices that have released and return to the oven for another 7-10 minutes to brown better. You can turn on the grill mode. Bon appetit!
