Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to cook homemade juicy manti with meat, potatoes and onions? It is not difficult. Prepare all the necessary products.

Step 2

Step 2
Letʼs do the dough first. Sift the flour into a bowl, break the egg, add salt and a little water. Knead the dough. While kneading, gradually add the remaining water. Sift the flour first, this will make the dough more tender. Read about the properties of flour in the article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 3

Step 3
Knead the dough first with a spatula. Then switch to hand kneading on the table until the dough is smooth and no longer sticks to your hands. Roll the dough into a ball, place in a bowl, cover with cling film and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour. The dough will “rest” and become more elastic and manageable.

Step 4

Step 4
Meanwhile, start preparing the filling. Rinse the beef, dry it, cut into small pieces. Wash the onions and potatoes thoroughly with a brush and peel.

Step 5

Step 5
Pass the meat through a meat grinder.

Step 6

Step 6
Grate the vegetables on a fine grater or also pass through a meat grinder. Onions and potatoes prepared in this way will give juiciness to the manti.

Step 7

Step 7
Combine minced meat and vegetables in a bowl, add salt and mix thoroughly.

Step 8

Step 8
Take the dough out of the refrigerator and divide it into 4 parts.

Step 9

Step 9
Roll each quarter of the dough into a rectangular layer. Cut it into squares.

Step 10

Step 10
Place a tablespoon of filling in the middle of each square and fasten the opposite edges together, gathering them in the center. Then connect the free ends together, forming the classic shape of manti. If you wish, you can add butter to the filling. Manti will become even juicier and tastier.

Step 11

Step 11
Grease the grate of the pressure cooker with butter. Place the manti, place in the pan, and close the lid tightly. After the water boils, steam the manti for about 20 minutes. The exact time depends on the size of the resulting manta rays. You can also use a double boiler or multicooker with a special steam grate (select the mode according to the instructions for use for your device). You can even build a steamer from a saucepan and a colander.

Step 12

Step 12
Juicy manti with meat and potatoes are ready. Serve them with herbs, sour cream, tomato sauce. Bon appetit!
